Carpet-forming ground cover with delicate leaves – Sagina subulata
Sagina subulata, also known as Irish moss, is an evergreen, low-growing ground cover with dense, moss-like cushions in a fresh, bright green. This versatile plant forms a soft carpet and blooms in late spring and summer with numerous small, white flowers. It is ideal for filling gaps between stepping stones, for stone borders or as a lawn substitute.
Sagina subulata is hardy and stays green even in the cold season. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. This easy-care plant requires little attention and is an excellent choice for a natural, green ground cover.
