Airy, hardy ornamental grass - Stipa tenuissima 'Ponytails'
Stipa tenuissima 'Ponytails', also known as Mexican feather grass or angel hair grass, is a graceful, fine-haired ornamental grass that brings a playful lightness to the garden with its soft, white inflorescences from May to September. The delicate, light green stems sway elegantly in the wind and create a lively, dynamic look.
Stipa tenuissima 'Ponytails' is hardy and thrives best in full sun on well-drained, rather dry soil. It is easy to care for and drought tolerant, making it ideal for rockeries, beds, roof gardens or planters. Light pruning in late winter or early spring encourages fresh shoots and maintains the elegant growth habit.
