The Pitcher Plant is a tropical plant. It likes it warm and moist. It needs a high humidity in order to form pitchers. It grows especially well in a glass cabinet or a terrarium by a window facing west or east. It can be trimmed if the terrain becomes too small.
If the plant will not form any pitchers or only small ones and only grows instead, you should break off the shoot tip. The strength of the plant will then go back to the tips of the leaves, which will create pitchers.
