Compact, hardy ornamental grass - Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue'
Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue', also known as blue fescue, is an impressive, compact-growing ornamental grass with an intense blue-grey coloration that provides an attractive color accent in the garden all year round. Delicate, white flower panicles appear from May to June, underlining the elegant appearance of this grass.
Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' is hardy and thrives best in full sun on well-drained, rather dry soil. It is extremely low-maintenance and drought-tolerant, making it ideal for rock gardens, beds or as a container plant. Pruning in early spring encourages fresh shoots, while dividing the plant every 2-3 years helps to maintain its dense growth habit.
